Ajay Shanker is an U. S. Navy Chief with more than 20 years of experience in Career Guidance. As the Department Head of Career Counselor, he has overviewed and personally provided career guidance to more than 3,500 Sailors spread across 68 Units and 9 Departments in multiple states. He has trained more than 70 Unit Career Counselors to excel in their career. He organized and facilitated numerous leadership training in molding new generation of Military leaders. His profound knowledge and astute analysis about the U.S. education increased the college Undergraduate and graduate enrollment by 67%. Under his tutelage and leadership his team completed multiple career progressions to U.S. Navy Officers, Specialized Programs including Special Forces, Submariners, Legal entities, Medical professionals, prestigious U.S. Navy’s Blue Angels and furthermore responsible for completion of United States Military Apprentice program by 89%. His effective leadership and inspiring mentorship paved path in achieving the highly coveted Retention and Excellence Award back to back for all of his Navy Commands.
