Profile Building

Profile Building

Overview

A Profile is basically to help a student stand out from the crowd of applicants and secure admission to a dream college. It is focused on the specific course, college and country choice in a student’s mind. It is about identifying the end goal and suggesting a range of activities to start building from an early age. A profile cannot be created overnight. It takes time and is a long-drawn process and requires much thought. It is important that a student to start to build their profile as early as grade 9 and is purely based on a student’s aspirations and abilities that involves a combination of academic and non- academic activities program.

Now let’s take a look at the applicability of a profile. You might be under the assumption that not every student needs a profile and that only those that are contemplating a Bachelor’s degree outside of India will require it. However, colleges even here in India require students to have a profile or be able to talk about the different activities they have been involved in during their last 4 years of high school. A profile is not only important for just college applications It is also equally important for the overall development of a particular student.
